Dr. Bin Cai, PhD, RN, FNP is an integrative healthcare provider specializing in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and evidence-informed musculoskeletal care. With advanced training in both Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and modern clinical practice, Dr. Cai helps patients manage neck pain, back pain, sciatica, sports injuries, and chronic pain, while also supporting whole-body wellness such as sleep, digestion, stress, and seasonal allergies.

Dr. Cai graduated from a 5-year medical program at Anhui University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (2001), where he trained in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Western Medicine. He completed orthopedic residency training and earned a Master’s degree in Traumatology and Orthopedics from Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, later working as an orthopedic attending physician with special focus on spine and musculoskeletal disorders. He earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medicine from Southern Medical University (2011).

In the United States, Dr. Cai served as a Research Scholar in Biomedical Engineering at The City College of New York (CUNY) and completed an Acupuncture Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. He also earned his nursing education at the Phillips School of Nursing at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, is a Registered Nurse (RN), and is trained as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)—bringing a whole-person clinical approach that integrates assessment, prevention, and integrative treatment planning.

Dr. Cai is a licensed acupuncturist in New York and New Jersey (NCCAOM) and a faculty member at the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He provides care at multiple locations in Brooklyn (Bensonhurst and Sheepshead Bay) and has expanded services to Midtown Manhattan.
